Since we started back in 2013 we’ve been using Eventbrite for tickets management. This has helped up managing tickets and orders. However, we’ve gained very few new members through Eventbrite and to me, that is one of the main use-cases of using an event aggregation site.
For that reason we’re shifting to meetup for the fall, as it seems to be able to reach more potential members. Feel free to join the group to be first in line for the next meeting.
And don’t worry about change – this page, as well as the mailing list will still be used. However, meetup will be used for ticket management.
I hope that this will strike a balance between easy of access for visitors and convenience for organizing events. Let’s see during the fall!
